Our surgical services offer safe and appropriate care for your pet's health.
We offer a diversified surgical service ranging from routine surgeries (sterilization procedures) to more complex procedures such as enterectomy, cystotomy and removal of masses. The surgical laser is our preferred surgical tool.
Prior to any surgery, as a preventive measure, we recommend that all animals undergo blood tests appropriate to their age and state of health. An intravenous catheter will be inserted to administer a solution during the anesthetic procedure. An adapted analgesic protocol will also be put forward to keep your pet as comfortable as possible.
Lasers have been used in human surgery for over 30 years. Since 2005, ACCESS VET veterinarians have been using surgical lasers on a daily basis, and their patients are enjoying the benefits of such technology. Laser use is indicated for many procedures, such as cyst, tumor or wart excision, to treat dermatitis as well as infections in the eyes, ears, mouth or elsewhere on the body. In addition to these external uses, lasers are also used for procedures involving internal organs.
Advantages of Laser Surgery:
We are very proud to be at the forefront of this technological revolution among veterinary hospitals.
